About Pride Northwest
Pride celebrations have been held in Portland since the 1970′s. In 1994, the original board of directors of Pride Northwest created a 501c3 organization and held their first meeting. Since that time, the board and the event has grown considerably.
Today, Pride Northwest is made up of a dynamic group of individuals from many different backgrounds who are dedicated to providing a venue for the queer community to gather and celebrate. The mission of Pride Northwest, Inc. is to encourage and celebrate the positive diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer communities, and to assist in the education of all people through the development of activities that showcase the history, accomplishments, and talents of these communities.

Castle Megastore expands chain with new Oregon store
TEMPE, Ariz. – Adult retailer Castle Megastore is poised for expansion with a new 5,000 square foot store in Beaverton, Ore.
“The store is located in a highly trafficked area and gives us the opportunity to reach a wide audience of consumers. We are happy to continue our constant efforts to enhance the adult retail experience for consumers,” says Mark A. Franks, president and CEO of Castle Megastore. “Having another store in Oregon further enhances the Castle Megastore brand in the state.”
In addition to traditional adult products, the store offers apparel, shoes, lingerie, lotions, games and novelty items.
This year has been successful, as Castle Megastore was the recipient of the 2009 Retailer of the Year award from XBIZ. The award honors excellence and achievement in adult retail.
